In the spirit of Celebrity Fight Night’s “Winning the Fight for Charities” and its support of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute, the 1/100 of its official limited edition fine art bronze sculpture “Muhammad Ali – The Greatest of All Time” was part of an exciting live auction. The 1/100 bronze winning bid was $70,000.
Artist Bill Toma was selected by Muhammad Ali Enterprises to create the first official fine art bronze of Muhammad Ali “The Greatest of All Time.” Mr. Toma’s artistic style and direction is to create the figurative bronze sculpture with an unyielding drive to achieve the highest degree of quality and detail possible. The Muhammad Ali bronze sculpture features “The Greatest of All Time” in his signature boxing pose. This first and only official Muhammad Ali Bronze Sculpture has been created to portray a youthful 22 year old man in his absolute physical prime as he became the boxing champion of the world in 1964. The sculpture is 28” high and is mounted on a black marble base. A limited edition of 100 fine art bronze sculptures will be created with each one having the official Muhammad Ali hand signature etched into the bronze base along with Bill Toma’s signature and the edition number. Each bronze will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
About the Artist: Bill Toma has been involved in art since childhood. His artistry in bronze captured the eye of the Walt Disney Company which commissioned him in 1980 to create three major projects for the opening of Epcot Center at Walt Disney World in October of 1982. During his twenty years with Disney, Bill produced all the award bronzes for Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the Walt Disney Company.
Bill Toma’s creations represent a vast and unique repertoire of his personal interests. Not limiting himself to one genre, he pursues a variety of subject matter which includes wildlife, Renaissance harlequins, nudes, and fantasy art.
